About

Vectixa is a water-technology software company developing advanced decision-support products for flood-risk management, drainage design, and water-resources planning. Founded in 2023 by Soheyl Borjian, Ph.D., P.E., Vectixa transforms advances in hydrodynamic modeling and high-performance computing into practical tools for engineers, agencies, researchers, and communities.

At the center of Vectixa’s product portfolio is Modelixa™, an integrated modeling ecosystem powered by the company’s proprietary two-dimensional hydrodynamic engine. Modelixa Solver provides the computational foundation for fast, accurate, and scalable flood simulation. The broader Modelixa product family extends this technology into flood mapping, infrastructure design, and early warning through Modelixa Map, Modelixa Design, and Modelixa Alert.

Vectixa’s products are designed to remove the computational and workflow barriers that have traditionally limited large-scale, high-resolution modeling. By enabling users to analyze larger systems, evaluate more scenarios, and move more efficiently from simulation to actionable results, Vectixa is making advanced flood intelligence more accessible and operational.

Dr. Borjian brings more than 16 years of water-resources experience to Vectixa’s product development. He has contributed to major initiatives including the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Connecticut River Flow Restoration Study, the Texas General Land Office’s Combined River Basin Flood Studies, the Louisiana Watershed Initiative, and Philadelphia’s Green City, Clean Waters program.

He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Water Resources, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where his research applied optimization and deep learning to complex watershed and flood-risk problems. His innovations have also resulted in a patent application covering methodologies implemented in Vectixa’s products.
